  • Alan Shedd is the Southern Region Manager for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Commercial and Industrial Business Development Group.

  • He’s done energy analysis, energy management, research, and HVAC system design in the U.S. and Europe. 

  • He’s taught classes, written publications, technical papers, and software.

  • He is active in several professional organizations

  • He works with local and state groups to develop electric vehicles and bring EVs into the classroom and has worked with schools to use photovoltaic systems to learn more about energy.

  • He drives a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle that is part of a Cooperative Research Network study.

  • When he’s not doing engineering stuff, he likes to race sailboats.
